Stillwater, OK natives, Other Lives, have
had an
amazing rise in popularity over the past year after touring with The Decemberists and Radiohead. It’s attention well deserved for their lush folk inspired sound that can fill full stadiums with ease. In fact, Thom Yorke was so impressed with the band that his side project, Atoms For Peace, remixed the title track from Other Lives’ 2011 album. That track plus three other unreleased tracks will appear on the EP Mind The Gap due out October 23rd on tbd.
Listen to “Take Us Alive” below which opens with a beautiful violin arpeggio before welcoming Jesse Tabish on piano and vocals. The track doesn’t miss a beat from where the band left off with Tamer Animals and they don’t seem to be slowing down that that they’ve got momentum.
