Find of The Week Vol. 3 No. 1: Olin and The Moon

Being born and raised for a short period of time in Idaho, I’m always excited to hear about something good happening there. Olin & The Moon is the latest thing that makes me proud to call myself a “Spud”.

The bands new album, Footsteps, is being released on January 11th and the advance single from the album is “Waking Up”. The track doesn’t throw any curve balls at you but maintains a consistent mellow tempo from beginning to end. Normally this would bore me within a few minutes but the picking guitar, careful piano and haunting slide guitar kept me hypnotized. The video is a literal transcription of the lyrical content for a song that deals with unobtainable love with lyrics like “Just when it’s feeling like it’s real love/That’s when I know that I’m waking up”.

Click on the download link below and you can get the band’s The Secret EP for free which has a few tracks from Terrible Town and a few unreleased songs for your enjoyment.
