As far as the video goes, it’s too chaotic and messy. Whoever wrote the storyboard should be flogged and whoever convinced the band that this was a good idea should be next in line.

Who didn’t see this coming?

We’ve been dupted

When will we ever learn that Glenn Beck is still full of crap no matter what he’s talking about.

When asked to play on the Italian TV show Quelli Che Il Calcio, they were told that they would have to lip synch. The boys took that opportunity to pull a switcheroo. Matt Bellamy took up the drums while drummer Dominic Howard grabbed the bass and lead vocals and bassist Christopher Wolstenholme took guitar and keyboard. At then end of course they want to interview the lead singer and get Dom.

Oh those crazy Brits.

All this time I thought that Bellamy had a beef to pick with Bush but it appears that he actually must have had a bad experience with a stuffed teddy bear as a child because they are set ablaze as if they are the ones that Muse are trying to be “victorious” over. But in the end giant Stay Puff Marsh Mellow Man sized bears destroy the city.

The exciting news of the day though is that Sub Pop reissued Sunny Day Real Estate albums Diary and LP2 with each album containing two bonus tracks and they have reunited and are making their way around the states so check the tour dates for the show nearest you.

Also, it’s hard to believe that Porcupine Tree made it an entire year without a release considering that they had 6 releases in 2008 alone. The Incident also has a Special Edition release that includes two live tracks.

Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn released their duet album today which is ironic because Tom Waits also had a new LP hit the shelves as well.

Dappled Cities, Zounds, was release via Dangerbird Records today. I have been working on a review of this album in amongst other duties for a few weeks now and know that this sophomore release is worth listening to. As an added bonus Dangerbird Records is giving their debut album, Granddance, away for free. Click here to download.

Muse – “Undisclosed Desires”

I’ll admit that I am quite nervous about this release since their previous albums have been so epic. I’m afraid that Muse has no where to go but down over the next couple of years. No one can stay at peak performance forever. But if these tracks are any indication of what they have in store for us with The Resistance then maybe the’ve pulled it off again.

The Resistance is out September 15nd on Warner Brothers.

Luckily the post below does not do the track justice as there is no rapping that leads into the first verse. The track is a little over 5:00 and it is fantastic. You’ve got the heavy drum beats with the fuzzy guitars and Bellamy’s operatic vocals tie it all together. Stellar.
