Stream: Adele – "Skyfall" James Bond Theme

In my family a new James Bond film is akin to Christmas day. The large gap between after Timothy Dalton’s 1989 License To Kill was our dark ages and Pierce Brosnan’s Golden Eye was our renaissance. Now 4 years post Quantum of Solance, we
are all anxiously licking our lips for Skyfall in a few short weeks.
There are three things that one looks forward to when word gets out of a new Bond movie. Is the previous Bond returning
for the next film? Who will be the “Bond Girl”? and Who’s going to sing the theme song? For the latter, the lucky winner is, not surprisingly, Adele.
I don’t believe that I’ve ever been disappointed by a Bond theme song, Chris Cornell was an odd choice that worked, Madonna was a given and Jack White with Alicia Keys, while odd, was still a hit with its use of the classic Bond theme song.
Adele admitted to being “a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for “Skyfall.” But after falling in love with the script she enlisted producer Paul Epworth to co-write the track that utilizes a 77-piece orchestra to drive home the large sound that’s required in a Bond theme.
Skyfall is in theaters November 9th.
