While
researching this post, we found there are at least two Ana Romans in the world of (what we’ll very loosely describe as) “piano compositions.”
The first, and one of the subjects of yesterday’s post, was this Ana Roman, DBA Parachute Pulse, who records pastel, sometimes ethereal works for piano, processing, and
synth.
The second, and the subject of today’s post, is one Ana Lola Roman. Who doesn’t. From her Soundcloud page:
Ana Lola Roman is Performance Artist and Multi-Instrumentalist. She travels between Brooklyn, New York and Berlin, Germany. Originally from a very small town in Oklahoma She has been an accomplished pianist since age 6 and has since toured Europe & The USA. It is not easy to categorize Ana Lola Roman’s music, but one could say it transports beyond the realm of the here and now. Ana invokes a feeling of walls crumbling, worlds forming, and futures turning. The atmospheres and intense grooves that Ana composes are generated
by drum machines, pianos, bass guitar, and synthesizers which Ana programs herself.
Get to know both at the links. We’re partial to Earthskin Cracking (sans Lola) and Klutch (avec), but then again, you know how we get.
