After a great deal of talk, speculation and in fighting as to how the role of Jeff Buckley should be cast, we finally have an official trailer for one of two films due out about the musician.

The first film that will hit the big screen is Greetings From Tim Buckley starring Penn Badgley as Jeff Buckley. The film is a biography about his early years as he learns to deal with the fame of a father he never knew and culminates in his performance during his father’s tribute concert at St. Ann’s Church which launched his

career. And supposedly the film ends with that actual concert footage.

There’s no official release date

for the film yet but there have been favorable screenings at the Toronto Film Festival.
