TMIM regulars are already familiar with Francois Peglau, who has been releasing a track-by-track follow up to The Imminent Failure of since December 2010. His singalong verse, campy wit and upbeat revolutionary politics are a always a refreshing change.
Peglau has recently announced Audioley, his collaboration with fellow London-based Peruvian export Jules Drade. Their first track is “Same Old,” a slight departure, what with the pulse of synthesizer and processed drum track. Download the track for free at their Bandcamp, and watch the video below: a wry reworking of the 1975 Argentine film Maridos en vacaciones, starring real-life sisters Ethel and Gogo Rojo. As in the film, two married man have locked the sisters away in a bachelor flat. One of them loses the keys. An attempt at a confession through the locked door has unexpected results. Time to watch:
