Yesterday Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes fame posted a new track to his Soundcloud page which he says is a “New demo, new song. Sadsack mode. Will probably change.” Whether this track will go through any changes remains to be seen but one thing that is for sure is that the “Sadsack mode” is right on. “Olivia, In A Separate Bed” is a lovelorn and heartbreaking song. Coming in at nearly 6:00 this song reminds me of when someone breaks up with you and you can’t think of one thing to say due to shock but later you think of everything that you wished you would have said. That’s this song.
