For the sixth year in a row The Killers are releasing a Christmas song in support of the (RED) Campaign which is an organization trying to help fight the spread of HIV and AIDS in Africa. This year is a cover of Michael Martin Murphey’s track “The Cowboy’s Christmas Ball” which will be released today to coincide with World Aids Day with all proceeds going to the charity. Again, it’s not the greatest song that the band had written but the cause is admirable none the less.
There’s also a video in the works that you can find screenshots all over the internet for so be sure to stay tuned in for that.
An EP containing all 6 of the Christmas songs that The Killers have written over the years is available now on iTunes.
01. A Great Big Sled (2006)
02. Don’t Shoot Me Santa (2007)
03. Joseph, Better You Than Me (2008)
