It seems pretty odd for a band to be doing a hard late night television show push a few months after the release of their album but that’s what Beirut has been doing lately and last night saw them making the only late night appearance that they should feel obligated to play. Fallon seems to me to be the only late night talk show host that really seems to love the music and when he says “Hey, that was great!” he really means it unlike some other hosts. I’m looking at you Letterman.
