Find of The Week Vol. 3 No. 27: Vermilion Club

Vermilion Club is comprised of duo Dylan Campbell and Zeno Pittarelli who released their latest EP this last summer. Sidewalk Ecology opens with the title track which starts out as a beautiful a capella piece that sounds as though it’s being played over an old tube radio in the 20′s. It goes on to developes into a strum happy piece with a welcome strings undertone. “Fables” is a full on Sufjan Stevens sounding track with unidentifiable strings being plucked over what sounds like a toy piano. The hush and delicate vocals continue in the Stevens theme with an angelic choir joining in mid stream. “Who I Want To Be” closes out this short EP in grand fashion with a soft ad sophisticated sound that demands you start the EP all over again for round 2.

You can listen to the entire EP and download it for free below. Also follow the Bandcamp link below to listen to the band’s debut LP Home.
