Video/mp3 The Avett Brothers – “The Once and Future Carpenter”

As a life rule I don’t watch the CMT channel, that is unless they’re playing one of The Cannibal Run movies or if The Avett Brothers are going to be making an appearance. This time it just so happened to be the latter that got me to tune in. The Brothers of Avett played a new track to “present a new and current example” of the direction that they’re going. It’s definitely not a bad example and also isn’t a far cry from what initially got the attention of so many of their fans. When you hear a band say that they want to put on display their current direction that’s usually a sign that you need to be heading for the hills to find your new favorite band. Not this time.
