The Land Down Under has been has been showing up quite a bit in my email inbox the last few months. I’m not really sure why but I’m also not complaining because most of the music that I’m getting is well worth more than one listen. Millions is now included on that list.

Having only be an official band for 6 months Millions is quickly making their way through Australia but something tells me that they’re not getting a lot of love here state side. Let’s change that shall we? The first single from the band’s upcoming debut EP is titled “Those Girls”. The track embodies just the right amount of lo-fi that let’s everyone know that they’re serious about the music they’re making (because let’s be serious, the lo-fi fad is really just a cloak that band’s use to try and hide the fact that they have no songwriting abilities.) Mix the lo-fi with their garage rock sensibility and you basically come out with an Aussie version of the Arctic Monkeys, which is not at all a band comparison to be given.
