Video Yeasayer – “Devil and The Deed” on Conan

Yeasayer wrote on their Facebook page yesterday that they’d be performing a new track on Conan O’Brian last night. Of course an upstanding citizen ripped the video, I ripped the audio and here it is for your enjoyment.

“Devil And The Deed” isn’t the best track that we’ve ever heard from Yeasayer but it’s also not the worst. Anand Wilder takes the lead on this particular track with his quivering vocals. What keeps this track from really taking of its inability to break away from the same repetitive beat structure. There’s no real bridge in the song and the solo is very short. Again, not the greatest but it’s better than a kick in the teeth.

What keeps this article from really taking off, is it’s inability for the author to understand the English language.

Please accept my most sincere apology for this most grievous of errors by typing “of” instead of “off”. In order to make amends for this unforgivable act I will begin flogging myself immediately until you feel that I have repaid my debt to society.
