Stream Jared Mees & The Grown Childern’s “Only Good Thoughts Can Stay”

Only Good Thoughts Can Stay is the debut release of Portland band Jared Mees & The Grown Children. The band does make a disclaimer about the album though saying “Only Good Thoughts Can Stay is not an anthem for blind faith in simple pleasures”. While it might not be intended for the naive side of us it’s hard not to look at this album in that light. Each track is upbeat and has a sunny mood about it that may cause one to reminisce on the good thoughts that this album is apparently not intended for. The album is out tomorrow but the band has been gracious enough to let everyone hear it early.

Only Good Thoughts Can Stay is out via Tender Loving Empire which is Mees’ own label. It’s also the home to such tMiM favorites as Y La Bamba, Boy Eats Drum Machine, Loch Lomond and Typhoon.
