For those who still find themselves on the fence about buying Meligrove Band's fun and dissonant masterpiece Shimmering Lights, know two things. First: it's a very short fence. It stands two, maybe three feet high at most. Meaning you could hop down at any moment without suffering a turn of the ankle.
Second: you could always fully stream the entire album in full, in its entirety, here, at no cost to yourself and at no risk of shaming your surname. Surely this is old news by now, but we've been so busy
around here bracing for the next bandwidth disaster that we just now got around to reading all of the links we keyed in. In September.
Or, if a review is enough to suade you, we offer two. Read Desiree's review of Shimmering Lights here, and mine, here. Standout tracks are the first three, as well as “Halflight,” and “Bones Attack!!”
Come back on December 31 to see where Shimmering Lights placed on our top 10 lists. It's a pretty safe bet that it will.
