Lissie – "Bully"

I heard this song for the first time last week but at that point there wasn’t an mp3 out there to post. Now there is.

Lissie is an Illinois singer/songwriter that  has garnered some attention lately due to her covers of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”, Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” and Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”. From those, don’t get sucked into thinking that she’s just a cover queen and unable to write a killer song of her own. Embedded below is the track “Bully” from her upcoming release Catch A Tiger. The track is a simple piano ditty but the focus is really on Lissie’s voice which seems infallible. Here next single will be “Cuckoo” which will be released on August 30th and will feature the cover of “Bad Romance”. If you haven’t heard “Cuckoo” you can get a taste of it here.
