Diving At Dawn

Pete Hobbs, one half of the indie pop band Boy Least Likely To, has taken off solo to present us with Diving At Dawn. Hobbs sticks to the adorable arrangements with simple piano lines and minimalist orchestrations.

The first single off the upcoming album is “A Lot Like Love” which see Hobbs seeking out a simpler indie pop sound then we’re used to with Boy Least Likely To. The track seems to be built around the same looping piano and nylon stringed guitar picking and not much else.

“A Lot Like Love” is being release digitally as well as on a limited edition 7″ on the band’s label Too Young To Die Records later this month. The b-side of the album with be the track “The Spinney”. Unfortunately I have yet to hear a release date for the full album.
