Arcade Fire Announce The Suburbs Release Date

Building more on the great news from yesterday, Arcade Fire has announced the release date for their higher than highly anticipated 2010 release. The album will be called The Suburbs and it will contain the two tracks “Month of May” and “The Suburbs”. The release dates are the best part though,  The Sububrbs will be released on August 2nd (Happy Birthday to me!) in the UK and August 3rd in the US. Arcade Fire released all this news via their website with a hand written note signed “Arkady Fireovitch”

Pre-orders for the new album are already being accepted in all the different media packages. Any pre-orders will come with an automatic download of the tracks “Month of May” and “The Suburbs”. I’m not real sure why this is a perk considering those tracks have already leaked to everyone.

Also, tune in today at noon ET to NPR where All Things Considered will be sitting down with Will and Win Butler for some one-on-one time, well technically it’s two-on-one time, what are we talking about again? You can submit the questions that you would like to ask here.

Happy days are here again!
