The intricacy and attention that Isbells puts into their song writing reminds me greatly of Jose Gonzalez and Bon Iver. The songs are simple but well thought out, built around acoustic guitar with periodic laces of percussion and beautiful harmonizing vocals.
Gaëtan Vandewoude fronts this Belgium based foursome with his falsetto voice that adds an even greater touch of delicacy to something already so fragile it seems as though it might shatter with the slightest wind. This is music for cold autumn days when the fire is blazing and the wind outside is howling through the trees.
