Walter Schreifels – "Arthur Lee's Lullaby"

If anyone has enough experience to write An Open Letter To The Scene it’s Walter Schreifels. During the late 80′s Schreifels was in many hardcore bands in New York but most notably Youth of Today and Gorilla Biscuits. After Gorilla Biscuits broke up in 2006 he made his way through even more bands, such as Moondog, Quicksand, World’s Fastest Car, Rival Schools, Walter and The Motorcycles and Walking Concrete. This much band hopping over the years indicates to me a restless musical soul with too many ideas and not enough outlets. As you make your way through his catalog you’ll notice a distinctively calmer Schreifels as the years go by and An Open Letter To The Scene is no exception. “Arthur Lee’s Lullaby” is the first single and is a simple acoustic but poignant ditty based around a simple chord progression.
