This one hurts me real bad folks.
I’ve worn thin on all the fan fare surrounding Vampire Weekend over the past two years and so I’ve really just ignored them for the most part and not given much attention to Contra at all, personally or on tMiM. But now I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place because Mumford & Sons has covered the Vampire Weekend song “Cousins” from Contra. While I’ve grown weary of Vampire Weekend I have become infatuated with Mumford & Sons. They performed the track on BBC Radio 1 as a part of their “Live Lounge”. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to hear the whole session because it tells me that it is “Not available in your area” but you can hear the cover right here. I still don’t know if I love it or hate it.
