To Elude the Architect by I Am Alaska

by Fred

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard the click of the distortion pedal. It’s about time.

Today the dripfeed produces I Am Alaska. (Chris Corner fans, take a seat: this is not the new IAMX EP.) This is slick, mathematical guitar play. Gut-check vocal work. Blunt-force trauma songwriting. Fans of At The Drive-In will be interested. Fans of Sarah Palin will not.

The name of the release is To Elude the Architect, first inaugurated in May 2009. Great title. No idea what it means. Probably the intent.
