That’s right, two indie terror alert colors today. Because Midnight Masses, while being a new band is comprised of musicians from Trail of Dead and Here We Go Magic.

Writing in the 2008 wake of his father’s untimely death, Autry Rene Fulbright called on some of his closest friends to help him channel his grief via quarter-inch tape, reverb pedals, and Gospel choirs.

From this musical therapy we get lush and white washed guitars, some kickin’ blues riffs, depression and reassurance. One might even say that Fulbright takes us through the five stages of greif and recovery on his trip through the debut LP Rapture Ready, I Gazed At The Body.
