Vampire Weekend Announce First Single "Cousins"

vw_ Yeah so maybe I spend more time on Vampire Weekend than I really should considering at this point I believe that they are a bit overrated. But something tells me that this is news that you want to hear about. So here it goes.

We’ve already heard “Horchata” but technically that is not the first official single from the upcoming LP Contra, “Cousins” is. The digital will be released on November 17th with a 7″ following thereafter on December 15th. On the 7″ the A-side will be the single “Cousins” and on the B-side you will hear the track “California English pt. 2″. Contra already has a track on it called “California English” on it so whether this is an entirely new song or a remix is unknown.

What is known is that Vampire Weekend played “Cousins” on Mtv Canada which you can watch below. I must say that so far I like “Cousins” better than “Horchata”
