Men Who Stare At Goats

Last night as I was watching TV and a trailer for the movie Men Who Stare At Goats aired. I had never heard of the movie and have no idea how long the trailer has been airing so you have my apologies if this is old news.

Apparently this is a true story about reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) and his attempt to discover the secrets of a US military experiment to try and harness the paranormal abilities of its soldiers called Warrior Monks. George Clooney plays Lyn Cassady, one of these Warrior Monks, that has been called back into action after the program’s founder, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), goes missing and is found in rogue psychic Larry Hooper (Kevin Spacey) training camp.

The whole story seems too far fetched to believe but that is besides the point as the trailer is outright hilarious. My fear with this movie is that it will end up being another Burn After Reading where an all-star cast is gathered and all the amusing scenes of the movie are stuffed into a 3 minute trailer which left me bored and disappointed.

Men Who Stare At Goats is out November 6th
