Pinemarten Releases Follow Up EP

Just a few weeks ago we wrote about Pinemarten, an anonymous Chesterfield native writing music that we described as "electronic without belaboring the point". With just a few weeks under his belt as an official...

#currently listening: Mirador/Pwdre Ser

Gemma Ray – "100mph (in 2nd Gear)"

3905960857-1Gemma Ray didn’t waste any time from the release of last year’s top ten album The Leader. Ray has already produced her follow up in Lights Out Zoltar. The album came out at the beginning of September and I completely missed it.

On the new album Ray stays with the 50′s noir theme that caught my ear on The Leader but adds covers of Gallon Drunk’s “Put a Bolt On The Door” and Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind”. You can hear a few tracks from the album on her MySpace page and you can download the track “100mph (in 2nd Gear)” below.
