Find of The Week Vol.1 No.22

Local Natives is a band that I have been listening to for a little while now but have just realized that I haven’t posted a single thing on them yet, so, I will use them as my Find of The Week.

Local Natives has everything that it takes to be a mighty contender in the next few years except a record label. It’s amazing to me that this band hasn’t gotten snagged up by somebody yet, come on labels get on the stick. The comparisons have been to the likes of Fleet Foxes and Arcade Fire although I hear much more Fleet Foxes than Arcade Fire for sure. My favorite track so far is “Airplane” with it’s lush harmonies and crescendos, it’s a must listen to. There is an album in the works that will go by the name Gorilla Manor but other than that there really isn’t all that much out there as far as a release date goes.
