Find of The Week Vol.1 No.21

If you’re looking for edgy indie rock this weeks Find is not for you. But, if you’re looking for well thought out, insightful lyrics and catchy tunes then Clarias is for you. The versatility of the band stretches the spectrum with blues, rock ballads to arena pop. These Boston boys have done extensive touring with the likes of Bon Jovi, Kanye West and Nickleback (I won’t hold this one against them). While Clarias may not fall into the indie genre by the US definition and I might get my indie blog secret decoder ring revoked for suggesting them, they are an act that must be checked out. Clarias has been compared to Dave Matthews Band, OAR and Blues Traveler but the first thing that I thought of when I heard the first track was the similarities to the Canadian band Stabilo.

Their latest album, The Days of The Getaway, was released June 30th and just about every song can be heard on their MySpace page.
