I’ve always been a little more partial to Brendan Benson’s voice as opposed to that other guy he’s in Raconteurs with, who’s name escapes me. So while that other guy in the band is off doing other things Benson has returned to his solo career of which he has already released three full length LP’s and is getting ready to release a fourth on August 18th entitled My Old, Familiar Friend.
I have only listened to “Feel Like Taking You Home” and “A Whole Lot Better”, which you can stream from his Myspace page. Both of these tracks stand on their own merit and lean more towards the sound that he has been writing for the Raconteurs then from his previous albums.
