and I had to just go out and listen to some friggen music for a bit.
So today the raw feed yields the new Straylight Run EP About Time. Nothing can top their near-six minute near-epic “Hands in the Sky” (from the 2006 EP Prepare to be Wrong). It’s a two-act souvenir from your favorite trip, wet with angst, half reflective, half combustible.
More than anything, though, I’m happy to see the latest rise of the EP. Maybe it will stick this time. We’ve all known for years that a CD needs to be 8-10 tracks, 45-70 minutes long, right? But who says?
Here’s a still clip to watch, for all you still clip watchers: “I’m Through With the Past.”
