Mastodon made an appearance on Letterman last night and as much as I don’t ever want to believe Fred, most of the time he’s right, especially when he says that Letterman really doesn’t mean it when he goes over to the musical guest of the night and says “Good job!”, “That was great!” or “It’s good to see you”.This fact was especially true on Friday when Mastodon must have forgotten their IED’s because they couldn’t hit a note in tune with one another to save their lives. As rough as this performance is Crack The Skye is still up there on my list for albums of the year but this was a pitiful performance. Where Dave was “frightened” before the performance I was frightened during.
