A few months ago Fred posted about the Deftones playing The Bamboozle Left festival next week with Sergio Vega of Quicksand filling in for Chi Cheng who was seriously injured in an automobile accident in November that has left in a coma ever since with little change in his condition. Unfortunately there is more bad news this morning, the family’s insurance company has cut off coverage and left the family to solicit donations from fans for their ever mounting medical costs. At this point the family’s goal is $20,000 which is obviously a fraction of what the medical bills actually are.

The Deftones album Adrenaline is one of the few albums that Fred and I can agree on as being one of the greatest albums out there and helped me as I tried to define my musical tastes as a youngster. So, please, if you have the means help this family as they try and save this talented musician.
