Today’s lost classic is Caetano Veloso’s “London, London” from his 1971 release Caetano Veloso (A Little More Blue).
This series was inspired by this quatrain from Thomas Gray’s poem “Elegy Written in a Country Church-Yard“:
Full many a gem of purest ray serene
The dark unfathom’d caves of ocean bear:
Full many a flower is born to blush unseen,
And waste its sweetness on the desert air.
