The Decemberists

decemberists_23With each passing day The Decemberists become more and more popular. Go the the local movie theatre and you’ll hear them over the speakers while you wait for your movie to start and when you get home and turn on the TV you’ll hear them on the latest melodrama on the WB but dagnabit I still like ‘em and that is why the release of The Hazards of Love on March 24th is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. The album is a lengthy 17 tracks and is suppose to tell the story of a woman named Margaret and the struggles with her husband William. They are wetting my whistle with the release of their first single called “The Rake Song” via download from their website.

Enjoy the first single and check back on March 24th for a full review of the album.
