free download: Symptomatic EP, by La Machine

In March we met La Machine, concluding, "Sung through a pulse jet and stripped down to the sub-bass." Their dark-as-a-cave, quick-as-a-Zoloft releases continue with the Symptomatic EP. The title track sets paint-can percussion...

New Music Tuesdays, Vol. 1, No. 1

vstransmock1Yeah, I realize that it’s Friday. We didn’t have the idea for this blog before yesterday. But it’s even worse than that. Today’s featured LP was released … (gasp!) … last week.

It’s Transfixed by VesuviaSonic, which is an early contender for our 2009 Don’t Misspell It While Googling It Award For Excellence in Naming Your Band. I rather like it. Here’s their MySpace page, complete with listen-on-demand and some YouTube stuff. Tell them I sent you. OK don’t. They have no idea who I am. First blog post and all that.

glad to see these guys got signed! I saw them last year in LA and was blown away by their show and the fact that they were just a local, un-signed band. They put on a rocking show-real rock n roll- like from back in the day when bands recorded live and didn;t have the oppertunity/curse to fix their recordings with a computer.

    Thanks for the mention!

We’d love to send you a copy of the CD if you’re looking for something to review in full.
